Behind The Seams:
My first big costume project was nothing short of an adventure—a labor of love inspired by Scarlet O'Hara's unforgettable green curtain dress. It all began with a princess costume pattern from Joann Fabrics that I transformed to mirror the elegance of Scarlet’s design. The real magic, however, was in the details. I found budget-friendly curtain tassels at my local fabric store that perfectly captured the character’s charm, tying the ensemble together seamlessly.
One of my favorite parts of the process was crafting the velvet bonnet adorned with feathers. I meticulously referenced costume photos to stay true to the original design and ensure authenticity. It wasn’t a quick project—day by day, little by little, it came together, evolving into a masterpiece that I could truly be proud of.
